The History of Ocean Park: The Neighborhood and the Brand

Founded as a Santa Monica beach neighborhood in 1892 by Abott Kinney, who later founded Venice, Ocean Park has an impressive history leading the way in radical surfing and skateboarding. Situated on the Westside of Los Angeles on the Pacific Ocean between Santa Monica and Venice, Ocean Park is the area that has been known for years as Dogtown.

The Ocean Park Clothing Co. has been working for years to create gear that is inspired by the great history of surfing and skateboarding that has transpired in this area, and the legends--both known and unknown--who have paved the way for today's action sports lifestyles.
